Why an Animal Rescue App?

A common sight on today’s streets is the number of abandoned animals languishing on the streets suffering from injuries and disease and live without any shelter. The silent suffering of these souls caught the attention of dynamic, animal lover, so Animal Rescue App initiative to develop a mobile app to track animals that need help. Animal Rescue app connects animal lovers, vets, and other NGOs in real-time. They can track the animals that need help.

How It Works:

People can start by signup to the application using Facebook or Google. When someone comes across a sick or injured or languishing animal on the road and is unable to attend to it, they can use the app to send a message across through the app to anyone in the vicinity to help. Take a picture or videos of the animals and the Set the location. Then select the type of animal and add some description of the animal. Then the peoples who love to help that animal would attend to it. Then they can update the status of that animal as well. And also the app will provide category wise searching in order to help the people to easily come across animals that need help.

Using This Sort of an application It would help to solve the problem mentioned in the first Paragraph. The Application implemented From the React native using the Components of the Go social (Click Here For Repository) and Firebase.

In the end, I was able to cover almost all the things I have provided in the GSoC Proposal. It wasn’t an easy task. The hardest part of my GSoC journey was to manage time with my academics in my university and to work around 35 hours a week for my GSoC project. Although it was a tough journey, it became one of the best memories and achievements in my university life. Finally, I was able to finish the project successfully with the guidance of the mentors. They guided me from the begging to the end of my GSoC Journey. And also I say thanks for the Sustainable Computing Research Group (SCoRe) for giving me the opportunity to complete on the project. I should say It is one of the best organizations I have worked with.

GSoC Certificate

So for last the people who are interested to complete in GSoC next year, I have a tip for you. The tip is Start Right Now. Don’t wait till the last moment to start contributing to the Open source projects. Select an organization and projects work on them to get a slot in GSoC 2020.

Till next time Goodbye!!
